ENERGY
Nigeria’s requirement for electricity is estimated at 40,000MW - 50,000MW. The government of Nigeria is empowering the nation’s energy potential, the backbone of Nigeria’s economy with resources. Nigeria with about 3000MW of electricity has unexploited capacity for attracting investment in the sector.
TRANSPORTATION
The nation’s transportation sector is being rehabilitated, with over US$40 billion investments opportunities. Railway Transportation is an area in which Canadian world renowned expertise can make a great impact. Air transportation and its infrastructure - The increasing middle class, competitive air fare and easier access to air transportation is giving a great boost to this sector.
FOOD
Opportunities include food processing, engineering, environmental services (particularly waste management), commercial real estate and mechanised large-scale agriculture.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Nigeria today is the fastest growing telecommunications market in Africa and there is lots of room for growth. Communications satellites have been launched and more are being planned to accommodate the increased need for fact telephony, high-speed Internet, land navigation, etc.
LABOUR FORCE
In Nigeria there are availability of highly-skilled labour, as well as potential business tax breaks for new investments.
